Most Frequently Asked Questions & Answers

Yes that is correct. The homes were designed from the start to be as easy and simple to put together as Legos and Ikea furniture. Everything clicks and snaps together (and unclicks) without tools, nails, screws, or hardware.

No construction experience and skilled trades are required to assemble a building. The only tool you may need is a ladder for setting the roof panels.

The panels are made from a durable and long-lasting composite FRP (fiberglass) and the extrusions and corner posts are made from a robust aluminum.

The structures have a life expectancy of 30-40+ years.

Yes. All the components and panels are modular, lightweight, and super simple and easy to assemble and disassemble. They can be erected, taken down, relocated, and reassembled hundreds of times without affecting the integrity of the structure.

Yes. The panels are hard-walled and very strong. They are made from a composite FRP (fiberglass) that has an incredibly high strength-to-weight ratio. None of the parts flex – the deflection is less than 5mm.

Yes. The panels are made from an incredibly strong and durable composite FRP (fiberglass), and the extrusions and corner posts are made from aluminum.

The units meet northern climate snow loads of 60 psf and wind loads over 130 mph+ which is equivalent to a category 4 hurricane.

Yes the homes are well insulated. The panels contain BASF rigid core insulation. The base model panel starts at an R-value of R10, with options to increase the R-value up to R30. This meets and exceeds the U.S. Department of Energy’s zones throughout the US.

Yes, the units are specifically designed for habitation. They are fire-resistant, water-resistant, bug, mold, rot and wind-resistant.

They can meet Class-A fire ratings with the materials used, withstand snow loads of 60 psf, and wind loads of 130 mph.

Yes that is correct. The structures are specifically designed to be assembled fast and easily by only 2-3 people, anywhere, anytime. All the components and panels are lightweight and can be picked up by anyone without the need for heavy equipment. With just a few people in under an hour a full structure can be assembled.

The units are flat-packable and come in 4 foot wide and 8 or 10 foot high increments. This allows an entire home kit to fit in a truck, U-Haul, or multiple pickup truck beds.

For larger orders, a box truck, shipping container, or larger hauler can transport multiple homes at a time. Depending on the size and number of panels per home, 10-15 units can fit in a truck or shipping container.

They range from $65 – $130+ / sq ft depending on the size, materials, add-ons, customization (doors, windows, colors), and units ordered.

Yes. The structures are made from all modular components and panels so the homes can be increased in size (or decreased) to create new layouts and footprints.

For example, if the current footprint of a home is 12’x16′, panels can be added to increase the length. The panels at the back wall “unclick” and a substructure can be added to the existing foundation, then more wall and roof panels can be added. A new structure could be 12’x20′, 12’x24′, 12×28’…etc.

Yes. The structures can be heated and cooled efficiently. There are options to add-on a heater, an AC unit (which can be integrated into a wall panel), or a mini-split (depending on the size of the home). Because the wall panels have a highly energy-efficient continuous solid rigid core insulation, and a high R-value, the homes are energy-efficient.

For temporary housing, the homes can be set directly on the ground. However, for optimal installation, placing them on a platform or a foundation is recommended, though direct ground placement is feasible when required.

Depending on the use case, wind loads, and duration of use, the homes can be secured with guy-lines and stakes, an auger system, or simply their own weight.

For more permanent structures the homes can be attached to a foundation. We have a structural engineer on our team who can design a foundation system. For more information please contact us here: www.clickitbuilders.com/contact

Yes, the homes and units can be personalized with specific colors, logos, and text according to the customer’s preferences.

Yes, you can customize the placement of windows and doors. They are pre-installed in the wall panels, but additional windows and doors can be added according to your preferences. The modular design of the panels allows you to place them in any location you choose.

Pella Windows and Doors is the current supplier/brand. However, the brand, sizes, and materials can be changed based on the customer’s preference.

No, they do not. The homes have the ability to connect to utilities (sewer, plumbing, gas, electric) and to add on a kitchen and bathrooms. This would be done at the customer’s expense.

The additional add-on options include: an AC unit, heater, mini-split, beds, and fold-out desks.

There is a 10-year warranty included that covers the panels and components.

Standard colors, panels, and accessories typically ship within 1-3 weeks. Custom colors and non-standard panels may require additional time.
